The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer is excited to once again host its annual Post Petit Le Mans Motorcycle Charity Ride Sunday, October 21, 2012 sponsored by Road Atlanta. The ride begins with a lap around the famous 2.54 miles, 12-turn world class road course of Road Atlanta than off into the North Georgia mountains, through Gainesville and Cleveland, GA, along Highway 129 and into Blairsville, GA for lunch.
“This is always such a great way to relax Sunday morning after the 10 hours of racing during the Petit Le Mans the day before at Road Atlanta., says Jim Osborn; Chairman of the Austin Hatcher Foundation. “It also brings a unique opportunity for fans to take a lap around Road Atlanta on their motorcycle!”
The ride takes a little over 3 hours to complete. The ride starts at 9 a.m. at the Road Atlanta Gift shop for a light breakfast and coffee. Registration is only $25.00. The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer’s mission is to erase the effects of pediatric cancer and optimize each child’s quality of life through essential specialized intervention beginning at the time of diagnosis and continuing throughout survivorship. “Fueling Potential: Racing to Win” Campaign: In 2012, the Austin Hatcher Foundation is continuing its partnership with the American Le Mans Series by kicking off a new “Fueling Potential: Racing to Win” Campaign to help pediatric cancer patients and their families. “Fueling Potential: Racing to Win” is uniquely designed to provide families affected by pediatric cancer with the emotional and educational “Fuel” to ensure that each family member reaches their maximum potential as cancer survivors and ultimately “Win Life’s Race.”
